So far the quality of the Stainmaster Ready to Play III carpet seems fine (it's only been 1 month so it's too soon to tell how it will wear over time). " Strung along by Lowes Installation Services for 4 weeks" Another thing the installers were late they came in and had every excuse as to why they couldn't lay my carpet after arguing with them, the truth came out and they had another job to be at by the time they got to me, so I guess they thought they were going to skip me, they eventually made another appt about a week later. I do have the 5 year warranty but depending on what I can do with that depends on if I'm going to use it or not, I hate this carpeting so bad!! Even the texture right after laying it isnt soft. Next year I'm planning on someone else laying a better quality of carpeting that's how disgusted and disappointed I am. I walk on it with socks mainly, this has to be cheaply made, they claim it is stain resistant, it is definitely not we have no idea where 9/ 10 of the stains on this carpeting has come from. I had my carpeting installed last year it looks like it was installed 10 years ago. I am completely horrified by the installation! We immediately inspected the work that was done and all I can say is I feel like we ripped up beautiful high quality carpet and put down garbage. They left the old tack strips from the old thicker carpet and placed the new thinner carpet on top and you get stabbed in the foot when you walk through a transition area or near the baseboard. This is day 1 and the carpet is lifting in multiple spots. Every single room has scrapes scratches and dents in the trim and baseboards. Our home HAD beautiful oak baseboards and trim in every room. Only after mentioning the unauthorized seams did he go out to the van and place a large piece of carpet that actually fit the room, instead of the patch job of a carpet he tried to put down. When we questioned them as to where the seams were going to be they got very rude and degrading toward my 68 year old mother. Where we approved 1 seam they tried to put 3. ![]() ![]() ![]() We initialed paperwork for approved seams in the carpet. We had excellent carpet in our home but the color was purple and we wanted something more neutral so we made the worst decision ever by ordering carpet from Lowe's.

Now this is most likely due to the fact that the Magic Mouse surface is smaller. On the Magic Mouse it's either 1 or 2 finger gestures. For example, on the trackpad you can do 3 finger gestures. This is a minor one, but the gestures are DIFFERENT than those on the MacBooksand MacBook Pro trackpad. The actual product design itself is great. The good news is that most of my issues with the Magic Mouse are software related, not hardware related. The two finger swiping works great in Lightroom for flipping between pictures in Loupe view!Īpple hasn't always designed a good mouse (man I hated this thing!): I use the zoom ALL THE TIME when I'm teaching or recording tutorials. I found a feature that I didn't know about until I set up the mouse and that is if you hold down the Control Key and use your finger on the surface you can utilize the Zoom feature built-in to Mac OS X. Tracking speed is good and overall it has a really good feel. Seems to stay in place unless I want to move it. ![]() ![]() Although some have complained that using the 2 finger gestures on the surface can cause you to accidentally move the mouse, I've no such problems. Once I downloaded the new driver for my MacBook Pro, I had no problem pairing and setting up the mouse. I've never had an issue with battery life on the previous model, so it's all good here. The Magic Mouse runs 2 AA batteries and Apple claims you'll get 4 months of regular use per set. This is a MUST for any battery operated mouse that goes with me. Speaking of in your bag, you'll be happy to know that like the previous Mighty Mouse, Apple includes a physical on/off switch on the bottom. This makes it great for road warriors in that it will take up less space in your bag. It's hard not to like the sleek design! It's so flat. Let's start with the things that I like about it. So depending on which side of the Magic Mouse you put your finger on to click will give you different results. Although there is only technically one big button to click, you can setup a "Right Click" (Control-Click) using the Mouse Preference to be either on the right side or the left side (for lefties). The entire surface clicks down like any other mouse, but the top of the mouse can be used for scrolling, panning and zooming using one or two fingers. The Magic Mouse is a Bluetooth wireless mouse with a multi-touch surface instead of the traditional multiple buttons found on all other mice. So let's get to the review you've been asking me for: As with most products, there are things I like and things that could be better. Luckily Apple also released the drivers for non-iMacs a couple of nights ago. Since I was upgrading to a new 27" iMac and the new iMacs come with the new Magic Mouse standard, this was a great way to get one early and play. When I blogged about the new gear, I was inundated with requests to review the new mouse? I thought wow, there is a lot of interest around this thing. One of those goodies was the NEW Magic Mouse. (And a weird free scrolling wheel.Apple recently introduced New iMacs, Mac minis and other goodies. Recently replaced it with a G500, which doesn't have that central partition. And then you have to take the mouse to pieces to sort it. and if you're not careful when cleaning it, it can jam under the partition, keeping the button held down. One problem I've seen with the MX510, is that if you have oily skin, you'll get a build up of cruft on the buttons, against the central partition. I use an iMac and have had no problems with any of the UI, apart from the insane scrolling speed when using an Apple Touch Mouse (zoom from "face pressed against the hull" to "from here, the star gates look like ants" in one stroke of the finger). ![]() One option you could try if you have an iPod Touch or iPhone is an iOS application called "TouchPad", which interacts with your Mac using "Assistive Devices" to emulate a MacBook style touch pad (without the clicking). Thankfully I have a Logitech MX510, which I consider to be the best mouse ever: the only negative about this mouse is that it is sculpted for the right hand. ![]() The Magic Mouse with that silly little trackball is painful to use: mine will scroll just fine if I'm going down or left/right, but it refuses to scroll up. Scrolling with then Touch mouse works a bit too well (scrolling any non-Mac OS X application happens at supersonic speeds). I expect your problem is the mouse itself, not EVE. The horrors the game bought us, the enjoyable experiences it gave us, and the years it persevered through are all meaningful and conspicuous reasons why this game should furthermore be celebrated. The only time money becomes a problem is when using the (recently removed) original 173 likeness, since that specifically is under a different copyright. I'm sure someone smarter than me could confirm or deny that though. On the other hand, due to the copyright, I am not confidently sure you could take SL's assets and use them to make a singleplayer game, like how SL borrowed Containment Breach ones initially. It would basically be developing an entirely new game. ![]() While that would be cool, they're making a multiplayer game, not singleplayer. ![]() Alternatively, they could redirect all their attention into developing a singleplayer mode, with more SCPs and items, and advanced AI. You could give all the currently in-game SCPs a basic AI and release it as a singleplayer mode, but I doubt it'd be nearly as fun as Containment Breach. I found, as many others have, that even the best “waterproof/breathable” fabrics are not very breathable when carrying a full expedition pack, even with the pit zips fully open. Over the years, I had fallen into the habit of using my Goretex and eVent expedition parkas as the do-all outer shells. This jacket just keeps showing up and going outdoors. You’ve got the vine blights taking the hits and holding down the enemies. Hopefully now you can see how the three work together to complement each other. Plus, they’re also decent at staying hidden until the time is right. The vine blight has higher armor class, more hit points, and its constrict powers means it’s probably good at tying up tougher opponents. They too are driven by compulsion to kill, so it’s unlikely they’ll break from a fight.įinally, is the “tank” of the trio, the vine blight. More than likely, these guys won’t be alone, either, pairing up with other blights and offering assistance from afar. At 30/60 range, they’ll probably attack just outside of their short range, sucking up the disadvantage, but keeping distance between themselves and melee fighters. Next comes the ranged attacker, the needle blight. ![]() Otherwise they’ll fight ’til smooshed because that’s what they’ve been commanded to do. They might be under direction to kill kill kill by Poppa Gulthias, but they certainly don’t wanna mess with being set ablaze. The only thing that would probably drive a twig blight to fleeing is the presence of fire. From there, it’ll seek to surround its foes and claw at them until a) the targets die or more likely b) all the twig blights get smashed into, uh… smaller twigs. Granted, its small bonus to stealth coupled with its false appearance feature helps it get the drop on imperceptive foes. The twig blight is the puniest of the bunch and really only functions well when in great numbers. Honestly, blights would make a lot more sense as undead instead of trees, since that’s basically what they are: dead animated plants.
